“Scientific information provides the best assessment of the state of the planet today and work on planetary boundaries indicates humanity has become so powerful, we are undermining the very foundation of our lives and well being, namely the chemistry of the atmosphere and oceans, pollution of water and soil and loss of biodiversity on which we depend.

The Green party begins with an understanding that protection of these fundamental elements of the planet must be our highest priority.

Lauren Greenlaw is a scientist who has contributed her expertise to politics at the municipal level. Canada desperately needs people like her to move us away from the destructive practices currently carried out without regard to the environment. I urge all voters to vote for her in this crucial election.”

Dr. David Suzuki CC OBC FRSC.

Academic, Scientific Broadcaster, and Environmental Activist.

“Lauren Greenlaw's strength lies in her ability to balance bold action with community needs.  In a riding already feeling the devastating impacts of climate change and housing unaffordability, Lauren offers more than promises; she offers a roadmap rooted in both science and social justice. She is a proven local leader who fights for affordable housing, social equity, and a sustainable economy because she understands that these struggles are interconnected.

She represents the evidence-based and progressive leadership that our coast needs. As an Earth Scientist, Lauren understands the realities of how Earth's natural systems work and its limits. This scientific understanding ensures she will create realistic and urgent policies to deal with today’s overlapping global crises.

We need more people like Lauren in federal politics- Women who lead with integrity, who refuse to silo environmental and social crises, and who stand firm in their commitment to future generations. With proven Green leadership at the provincial level, this is a pivotal moment to send a champion like Lauren to Ottawa—one who will fight for both people and the planet, because she knows you can’t have one without the other."

Dr. Lisa Gunderson.

Deputy Leader of the BC Greens.

Lauren has fully endorsed the Vote Palestine platform.

The Platform:

  1. Impose a two way arms embargo on Israel.

This means demanding Canada stop exporting weapons and military technology to Israel, and stop purchasing Israeli weapons that are field tested on Palestinians.

  2. End Canadian involvement in illegal Israeli settlements.

While Canadian foreign policy formally recognises Israeli settlements as in violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention, (i.e. a war crime) Canada has failed to take measures against Israels violations.

Vote Palestine is calling for a ban to all investment, trades and exchanges with illegal Israeli settlements.

Revoking charitable status of Canadian charities found to be supporting illegal Israeli settlements.

Prohibiting the ownership, rental or sale of homes in illegal Israeli settlements by anyone in Canada.

  3. Address anti-Palestinian racism and protect freedom of expression.

Those speaking out against Israel in Canada are facing being targeted by police, being denounced in Parliament, are being subjected to disciplinary measures by employers, and are being silenced by public institutions like Universities.

Vote Palestine is calling for the government to meet its commitment to fighting systemic racism by fully recognising anti-Palestinian racism and protecting the free expression of those protesting against Israel.

  4. Demand the Canadian Government publicly recognise the state of Palestine

Palestinians human right to self determination is currently recognised by three quarters of UN member states.

  5. Properly fund relief efforts in Gaza including UNWRA

Since October 2023 Israel has destroyed over 85% of Gaza’s infrastructure including hospitals, schools and homes. Canada must commit to properly funding the United Nations Relief and Works Agency to fulfill its responsibility to the International Community.
